Watch the video where Dr. Andrew Burnie demonstrates his AskGaius invention. It runs on the laptop you already own with the internet switched off, and every question you ask stays on the machine in front of you, because there is nowhere else for it to go.
Batches are small. This list gets them first.
The problem
It went to a data centre owned by a company you have no relationship with. It was processed on hardware you will never see. And you were told it was fine.
So you edit yourself.
Which means the tool is least useful exactly when it matters most.
Cloud AI today
It crosses the internet to hardware you will never see. What happens to it after that is not up to you.
With the drive
The model is on the drive. The answer is worked out on your own machine, so nothing has to be sent anywhere for it to arrive.
What this actually is
You plug it into your computer. It runs on the power of that computer and nothing else. Turn off the internet connection and it carries on answering, because it was never depending on the connection in the first place.

A hand, for scale. That is the entire product.
What that means in practice
And it runs on nothing but the power of the computer it is plugged into, at a time when data centres have been reported as using 6% of the electricity supply in the UK and US.

The people behind it

CEO and inventor
PhD in Computer Science at UCL, funded by The Alan Turing Institute. He invented the drive, and he is the one in the video.

Chair, MBA
He is an experienced entrepreneur, having been involved in business for over 20 years.

Legal
One of Financier Worldwide’s five 2026 Power Players in FinTech.
Engineered in the UK.
The three of us co-authored the July 2026 commentary "Pick Your AI Apocalypse" in The Hedge Fund Journal, under our own bylines. The argument for the drive is one we have already made in public, in print, where it can be checked.
What people using it say
"I have thoroughly enjoyed trialling the beta version of Ask Gaius. It is incredibly useful and interesting to see in real time the logic the tool uses while it generates its answer, and the answers are clearly and succinctly presented."
Nicky Androsov, Partner, UK law firm
"As a Chartered Accountancy firm, client data protection is vital. AI has presented a great deal of opportunities, many of which we can not make the most of without sharing confidential information. AskGaius is a solution which is enabling us to keep client data safe, whilst accessing the powers of AI which gathers the knowledge from trusted sources. I'm excited to see what is coming next in its development."
Glyn Jelley, Managing Director, Summit Chartered Accountants

The waitlist
You get the founder price when a batch opens, and whatever you ask for goes on the roadmap.
